Oil breaches $60 a barrel

-

OIL has climbed above $60 a barrel, hitting its highest level since July 2015 amid support for extending a production freeze.

Leading producers Saudi Arabia and Russia gave their backing to a continued cap, which means the supply of oil will be limited for another nine months.

Brent crude hit $60.30 last night, up nearly 3pc during the day’s trading.
