BIRDIE BLAST TAKES JOHNSON INTO LEAD

WORLD No 1 Dustin Johnson fired four birdies in his last four holes to take a one-shot lead at halfway in the WGC-HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai. Johnson’s 63 took him to 13 under, one ahead of fellow American Brooks Koepka. Justin Rose and Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat are four shots back in a tie for third.
