LAURA DERN showed off a very gym-honed back at an awards dinner recently. But the 50year-old actress says she is no longer a slave to fitness.

‘Before kids, it was an hour and a half of yoga in the morning,’ she has said. ‘Now I try to fit in exercise on a dog walk.’ WHAT TO TRY:

The T- lift move tones your back. You need a pair of dumbbells.

Stand with feet hipwidth apart and bend your knees slightly as you shift your hips back. Lower your torso until it’s almost parallel to the floor.

Bring the weights together and turn your palms to face forward. Keep your arms straight and lift the weights to shoulder height then lower down, engaging core and buttock muscles. Do two to three sets of 12-15 repetition­s.
