IN THIS first of an excellent new series of loosely connected horror tales for children, Jessie (Sydney Wade, pictured) is constantly embarrassed by her parents’ behaviour— and says as much to a sinister puppet at the seaside. What follows is perhaps best not watched this close to bedtime, even on Halloween.
