Hugo Boss strength
A REVAMP at luxury fashion brand Hugo Boss has seen sales rise by 3pc.
After a string of profit warnings, chief executive Mark Langer has cut prices in China, closed loss- making shops and even introduced stores featuring ‘ smart mirrors’ that suggest other products to go with what a customer is trying on.
Yesterday it said third- quarter sales hit £633m, and it expects full-year sales to rise by a low single- digit percentage rate, from £2.3bn last year.
Shoppers in the UK, China and US fuelled the rise, and online sales are also growing.
