KOP BRACED FOR CAN EXIT AFTER TALKS BREAK DOWN

-

EMRE CAN is almost certain to leave Liverpool next summer with talks over a new deal having reached deadlock.

Liverpool first approached the Germany international about signing a new contract in June 2016 but it has reached the point where there appears to be no solution.

As Sportsmail reported in September, Liverpool refuse to insert the release clause that Can (right) wants in any new deal. It means Can will be able to start negoti- ating a pre-contract with clubs on the continent in January. Liverpool’s biggest concern is that they are now likely to lose a multimillion asset next summer without recouping a penny. Juventus and Bayern Munich are both interested in signing the 23-year-old.
