Businessman died after taking drugs
THE brother of a billionaire businessman died after taking a fatal cocktail of drugs, an inquest was told yesterday.
Lee Stunt, 37, was found dead in bed at his parents’ £3.5million home on the exclusive Wentworth Estate, Surrey, with traces of heroin, cocaine and painkillers in his bloodstream.
Friends of the businessman raised the alarm after he failed to attend a football match the previous evening. Coroner Simon Wickens recorded a verdict of a ‘drug related death’ after hearing the toxic combination led to ‘respiratory depression’.
There was no evidence Mr Stunt, who was married to civil engineer Elizabeth, 35, took his own life.
Mr Stunt was the chief operating officer of Stunt and Co, a gold bullion investment business he jointly founded with his brother, James.
