FA switch on £6m deal
THE FA have agreed a three-year partnership with LG Electronics for England, Wembley and the FA Cup, understood to be worth £2million a year. This has come at a good time, with the FA reeling from their inept handling of the Mark Sampson-Eni Aluko controversy. But the introduction of their new grassroots website, FA Full Time, has not gone smoothly — the home page is dominated by a link to the old site. A spokesman said the link was mainly for club administrators

KUWAIT’S Sheik Ahmad Al-Sabah’s return to Switzerland for Olympic meetings this week is significant. It was his first visit since he was named in April as a co-conspirator in the US Justice Department’s FIFA corruption indictment of Guam’s Richard Lai, who admitted accepting £770,000 in bribes. There was speculation that the Sheik risked arrest if he set foot in Switzerland.
