Choose what you dream about

-

1. WHEN you have a spare moment, pick one of your dreams, close your eyes and recall it in vivid detail.

2. IMAGINE that you can change your dream in any way you choose. Will you meet up with an old flame? Will you get a promotion at work?

Remember, it doesn’t have to be realistic. Maybe you’ll fly, or swim like a dolphin.

Re-entering your dreams in this way sends the message to your unconscious that you are interested in deepening your relationship with it. It says that you want to become lucidly aware in your dreams so you can guide them.

3. IF YOU want to dream of a specific place or person one night, before you go to sleep, write down on a piece of paper what you aim to dream about.

4. AS YOU are dropping off to sleep, imagine yourself having your desired dream and mentally repeat the words: ‘Tonight I will dream of . . .’

5. WHENEVER you become lucid in a dream (when you know you are dreaming while dreaming) you can guide it in any direction for greater fun, freedom and happiness. When you wake up, you’ll find you feel surprisingly refreshed.
