Morata taught Lukaku a lesson

-

FAR too often we find ourselves talking about Romelu Lukaku failing to have an impact in the big games. He may complain that his Manchester United team-mates did not create enough chances for him against Chelsea. When the greatest Premier League strikers such as Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer had to feed off scraps, it did not stop them from scoring. You still have to work and try to carve a goal out of nothing but Lukaku seems to have a knack of finding himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Contrast this with Alvaro Morata, who was superb leading the line for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. I am still not completely sold on Morata but he held the ball up well and his header from Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross was stunning. Lukaku was Antonio Conte’s first choice to replace Diego Costa this summer. After this, he may feel he has had a lucky escape.
