How to make your calories go further
DITCH the high-calorie pastry-enrobed chicken tikka slice, and for the same calories, you can have a whole pack of chicken tikka slices, a full tub of vegetable couscous and a nectarine. The second lunch is much higher in satiating protein (providing 60 per cent of your daily requirement versus 37 per cent in the first lunch), has less than 10 per cent of your daily saturated fat (there’s more than 50 per cent in the slice) and also counts as one of your five-a-day.
