John Pettigrew, 49 Chief executive, National Grid

NATIONAL Grid boss John Pettigrew has been named non-executive director to FTSE 100 firm Rentokil. He will take up the position from January and will also become a member of the audit com- mittee and nomination committee at the pest control company.

Pettigrew joined National Grid in 1991 before taking over from Steve Holliday as chief executive in April last year. He holds a BSC in Economics and an MSc in International Economics and Banking from Cardiff University.
