ENGLAND rugby league winger Jermaine McGillvary has been cleared of biting Lebanon captain Robbie Farah. McGillvary was facing a ban of up to 12 weeks, but was exonerated at a World Cup disciplinary hearing and is now free to face France on Sunday in the final group game. OLYMPIC gold medallist Alex danson has been named permanent Great Britain and England hockey captain — voted in by her team-mates. the 32-year-old took over the role on a temporary basis in the summer but has now been confirmed in the position before this month’s World league Finals.
