Fired critic pours bile on publishing queen Brown
Tina Brown’s Vanity Fair diaries are out next week, but the publishing queen has come under extraordinary attack from a former theatre critic at The new Yorker, the magazine she edited in the nineties.
Mimi Kramer, who was ‘let go’ by Tina during that time, writes in a scathing blog posting: ‘Brown fired more women staffers at The new Yorker than Elvis fires up engines in Viva Las Vegas . . . Brown did more to vulgarise and uglify american letters than any other single person in america.’
according to Kramer, Brown accounts for why america boarded the Trump train: ‘ she helped create the cesspool that made it possible for someone like Donald Trump to become the President of the United states.’
