Benn proves a knockout in blistering USA debut

CONOR BENN made an impressive American debut with a secondround knockout of Mexico’s Brandon Sanudo in New York. The 21-year-old son of two-time world champion Nigel improved his record to 10 wins from 10 with eight knockouts. Saturday was the fifth consecutive fight Benn has won inside three rounds. The welterweight said: ‘I really enjoyed it and got some reception here, so it’s just a great experience so early in my career. ‘Here, the way they do things is completely different and it takes a while to get used to it, but when it comes to the time to fight — potentially for titles — I know what I’m in for.’
