Hart returns as Southgate shakes it up

- By SAMI MOKBEL

GARETH SouTHGATE will make a host of changes for tomorrow’s Brazil clash, but man of the moment Ruben Loftus-Cheek is pushing for his second England cap after an excellent debut against Germany.

The plan is to involve the Chelsea midfielder, currently on loan at Crystal Palace. Southgate is aware of Loftus- Cheek’s history of injuries and will check on his condition before deciding whether he will start. Joe Hart will return to the first XI despite Jordan Pickford’s impressive debut on Friday night, while Marcus Rashford is set to start with Jamie Vardy in attack.

In defence, Kyle Walker could replace Kieran Trippier at right wing back, while Southgate is hoping Gary Cahill will be fit enough to fill in for Phil Jones, who has returned home after aggravating a thigh injury.

Michael Keane or Joe Gomez, who also made his debut against the Germans, will deputise if Cahill is unavailable.
