LEAGUE TWO THIS WEEKEND

- TOM FARMERY

HERO OF THE WEEK

HARRY ANDERSON (Lincoln): The Imps missed Anderson’s pace and work-rate when he was injured. He returned at Crewe and made a difference. Danny Cowley’s side had gone 1-0 down after eight minutes but a brace from Anderson turned it around and Lincoln won 4-1.

ZERO OF THE WEEK

ROSSI EAMES (Barnet manager): His team haven’t won since September 9. The goals have dried up. Couple that with silly defensive errors and you have a team in trouble. A 1-0 home defeat by Colchester on Saturday dumped Barnet into the relegation zone.

GOAL OF THE WEEK

SAMMIE SZMODICS (Colchester at Barnet). The striker had to start from the bench but once on the pitch it took him just 10 minutes to find the winner. He cut inside on his left foot and lashed a stunning effort past goalkeeper Jamie Stephens.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

KEITH CURLE (Carlisle manager) after his side’s 4-0 home victory over Yeovil: ‘Six chances and we’ve scored four goals. That shows the ruthlessness we’re looking for. The pleasing thing was that we mixed our game up and caused them problems.’

STAT OF THE WEEK

10 — Adebayo Akinfenwa’s header in the 82nd minute couldn’t stop Wycombe losing 2-1 at Morecambe, but it was significant. The striker has now scored 10 headed league goals this year. That’s three more than any other player in England’s top four divisions.
