BBC pundit is arrested for drink-driving
BBC PUNDIT and former England footballer Trevor Sinclair has been arrested on suspicion of drink- driving, assault and criminal damage.
The 44- year- old, pictured, was held after a woman pedestrian was hit by a car in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: ‘We were contacted at 8.45pm on Sunday to a report of a disturbance at a house in Lytham.
‘Officers attended the property and found a man had already left the property in his car, a Tesla X60d.
‘A short time later officers found the vehicle which had been involved in a collision with a woman pedestrian. She received minor injuries.’
Minutes before his arrest, Sinclair had tweeted about ‘racist old bill’ turning up at his £1million home. The former Manchester City star was last night released on bail pending further enquiries.
