THREE KEY CLASHES

-

DAVID MEYLER v CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN

The Hull midfielder will be tasked with keeping an eye on Eriksen, who must step up after a disappointing first leg. Meyler’s aggression forced Wales’s Joe Allen to withdraw in Cardiff last month and don’t be surprised to see him get physical with Eriksen.

JAMES McCLEAN v PETER ANKERSEN

Ireland’s talisman was not at his best in Copenhagen and didn’t do enough attacking. Denmark right back Ankersen will have to be wary tonight as McClean will try to get at him from the off.

SHANE DUFFY v NICOLAI JORGENSEN

Jorgensen scored 25 times for Feyenoord last season but did not enjoy his best night on Saturday. That was largely because of Duffy, a rock at the heart of Ireland’s defence. He is emerging as a key player and will need to keep tabs on Jorgensen again.
