Watch out, we have our mojo back!

- LEONARDO 55 Brazil caps and 1994 World Cup winner. Now boss of Antalyaspor in Turkey

There is so much to admire about this Brazil team, who have many things in common with our last World Cupwinning side from 2002.

Not only do we have talented players but also big names with charisma and icons who know how to take the love of the people and symbolise Brazilian football and what it represents.

We have Neymar where we had ronaldinho and others with the mentality which comes from winning trophies at some of the biggest clubs in the world.

We have a good coach, which is very important. Tite picked this team up at a difficult time and has created an atmosphere to take them back to a good level very quickly.

In full backs Marcelo and Dani Alves we have roberto Carlos and Cafu, and Gabriel Jesus is an incredible player who can become our new ronaldo.

Manchester City were very clever to sign him when they did from Palmeiras. Another two weeks and it could have been much more complicated.

Jesus with Pep Guardiola can be a very good combination. he is fast and smart and knows how to move with and without the ball. he sees the match and smells the goal. he is not tall but has great timing in the air.

Philippe Coutinho is an amazing talent and he needs only to improve his consistency to be our rivaldo.

We have good soldiers, which you need, such as Paulinho and renato Augusto, and Casemiro is a very good midfielder player who can be our new Gilberto Silva but even better.

Thiago Silva is still there, Alisson is a good goalkeeper, Marquinhos is fabulous and ready to step up. We have Neymar — who can be the best player in the world one day and win the Ballon d’Or — but we have others.

And we cannot forget the people of Brazil. Football is not above all our problems, which has happened in the past.

There are too many problems. We have a political crisis, economic crisis, social crisis and football is important but not above all those things. For this reason there is less pressure on this team as we evolve and get to the right level. In 2014, there was not that same spirit which is now around the team.

A lot of small things are coming together. We have a very good generation and we need to confirm this at the World Cup and show the football of Brazil. As told to Matt Barlow
