EVA BRAUN’S treasure chest, found by American intelligence officers, revealed Hitler as generous with nazi loot and quite a ‘family man’. Beneath millions of pounds’ worth of stolen silver and other articles, plus a diary making references to ‘my undying love’ was Eva’s photograph album. Pasted in it were dozens of pictures of herself and Hitler in ‘family poses,’ with a mysterious baby girl named Uschi.
NOVEMBER 16, 1961
An 18-yEAR-old female student found with a male undergraduate in her room has been sent down from oxford University, while the man was only ‘rusticated’ for two weeks — meaning he’ll just have to repeat one term. last night, the oxford magazine Isis accused the university of being ‘spinsterly and prudish’ for imposing the heavier punishment for the girl.

GEMMA ATKINSON, 33. BARBARA PAYTON ( 1927- 1967). The Hollywood actress, who starred with James Cagney in 1950 film noir Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye, was as well known for her tumultuous private life as her film roles. She was married four times — her third husband was Hollywood actor Franchot Tone — and had affairs with Howard Hughes, Bob Hope and George Raft. years of drug and alcohol abuse killed her at the age of 39.
