Quilter comeback

-

A VENERABLE City name is to get a fresh lease of life when Old Mutual Wealth is rebranded as Quilter.

Quilter dates back to 1771, and evolved into Quilter Cheviot Investment Management, which savings business Old Mutual Wealth bought for £585m in 2014. Bosses want to use the Quilter name for the entire company after it floats on the London Stock Exchange next year.

Old Mutual Wealth is separating from parent firm, Anglo-South African behemoth Old Mutual, in a break-up because red tape has made the business model unsustainable.
