Amazon cuts prices
AMAZON has revealed fresh price cuts at Whole Foods ahead of the festive season.
The online retailer, which bought the upmarket grocer in the summer, has discounted items in the uK including boneless chicken breasts, ‘ responsibly farmed’ shrimps, organic sweet potatoes and broccoli. It comes after an earlier round of cuts to other customer favourites, such as bananas and salmon.
John Mackey, Whole Foods chief executive, said: ‘We’re just getting started. In the few months we’ve been working together, our partnership has proven to be a great fit.’
