SUPERHERO ACTION The Punisher, Netflix
PROVING that you don’t need a lot of dialogue to portray an interesting character, The Walking Dead’s Jon Bernthal plays the terse antihero in this latest series set in the Marvel universe. On one level, it’s a grim show — a bloody, bruising settling of scores — but there are glimpses of humour, such as when a waitress thinks that the grief-stricken Marine-turned-vigilante is a hipster.

THE remote Norwegian fishing village of Veidnes has a population of just 45. Fisherman Svenne recalls it being a ‘bustling port’ when he was a child, and he wants to return it to its former greatness. This new series follows his ambitious project.

IN THE final episode of the fifth and penultimate series, Crane lets it slip to Walt that the prosecution in his civil case is withholding damning evidence from the FBI. Meanwhile, Henry gives a ride home to a presumably drunk woman, but ends up falling into Malachi’s trap.
