The Strictly Come Dancing host, 45, has never been seen smoking before, and it is thought she might have made the move of going directly to ‘vaping’.
It also appeared as though she was keen to keep the habit secret, as she quickly placed the gadget back in her coat pocket as she walked through central London carrying a bottle of water and spare jumper.
The mother-of-three, who is the BBC’s highest-paid female star on up to £500,000 a year, was decked out in designer gear for her visit to the trendy Psycle studio. She had taken part in one of their intense spinning sessions, which can burn up to 1,000 calories in one session. She teamed her gym kit of black leggings and a loosefitting t-shirt with £445 Valentino trainers. Her oversized parka with a coyote fur hood from Canada Goose, thought to cost over £ 50, kept out the cold.
The sight of her using the ecigarette has come as a surprise to those who know her well, with a friend saying they had ‘no idea’ she smoked.
Tonight, she will present the annual Blackpool Strictly special, where the remaining eight celebrity contestants take to the Tower Ballroom.
