UNSWORTH: I STILL FEEL LIKE I’M IN CONTROL OF EVERTON

-

DAVID UNSWORTH insists his authority has not been undermined by Everton’s prolonged search for a new permanent manager to replace Ronald Koeman, who was sacked 26 days ago. Diego Simeone has no interest, Sam Allardyce has ruled himself out and Watford have rejected an offer for Marco Silva. Unsworth (below) said: ‘It doesn’t undermine me. I can only control players on the training field. I get another chance to lead the team and create another positive result.’
