AS THE second series continues to go from strength to strength, this third episode finds Paul (Lee Ingleby) and Alison (Morven Christie) struggling as they spend increasing amounts of time apart with autistic son Joe (Max Vento, pictured) beginning his new school in Manchester. And when Paul takes new employee Sophie and her son Mark to a concert, he ends up enjoying himself a little too much. Meanwhile, the lovely chemistry between Louise (Pooky Quesnel) and Maurice (Christopher Eccleston) pops and fizzles when he discovers that she’s gone for her first chemotherapy session alone.
