Wizz Air’s expansion

-

WIZZ Air is expanding its Luton base, creating 150 jobs and adding five routes to Cyprus, Slovakia, Estonia, Ukraine and Albania.

Wizz Air, which is the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, will run 30 extra flights every week as part of the drive to ramp up its presence at the airport.

Luton Airport’s chief executive Nick Barton said the news was a boost for ‘passengers, the airport and the local economy’.

In addition, four A320 aircraft will be added to its fleet in Luton, which currently stands at just one, enabling it to run more frequent flights on three of its most popular routes to Tel Aviv, Suceava in Romania and Kosovo’s capital Pristina.
