WOOD’S BACK UP TO SPEED

MaRK WOOD, the one English bowler capable of extreme pace, has arrived in Brisbane with the Lions squad and will step up his bowling over the next two days as he recovers from a heel injury. If all goes well, he will play next week against a Queensland XI in a three-day game which will act as an unofficial ashes trial.
