DON’T DISAPPEAR IN A PUFF OF SMOKE

TALKING of alcohol reminds me of another pub I am missing, not being on the tour. The Port Office in central Brisbane is a cracking place. There’s no smoking allowed, not even on the pavement out front, and in typical Aussie style they have staff patrolling the area to make sure this rule is upheld. If you want a fag you have to go and stand in the middle of the road. I’m all for it myself, filthy habit. Although it might just be a way to manipulate a few figures — don’t die of smoking, get run over instead!
