Beatle’s boy: I’m no boho drop-out
THE son of late Beatle George Harrison says he rebelled against rock ’n’ roll — by getting a degree and joining the Great Britain rowing squad.
Singer- songwriter Dhani confides: ‘I always did very well in school. But I definitely spent a lot of time — I don’t know if you’d call it rebelling — doing amateur sports, like rowing.’ Dhani, 39, says: ‘I was on the GB rowing squad. For years, I’d get up early and go to the river to row. I think my parents always wondered why I did that. It was more about proving something to myself.’
He earned a degree in industrial design and physics at Brown University in the U.S. ‘My father always wanted me to drop out, or maybe he was just joking.’
