Jamaican beach party for her first wedding
THE bride wore white but that could be the only similarity Meghan Markle’s first wedding had with her second.
In 2011, she wed film producer Trevor Engelson in a four-day party in Jamaica for 100 guests which included a cocktail night, rum punch and beach barbecue.
Miss Markle chose a white column dress with a sparkling silver belt for the service which lasted just 15 minutes on the beach at Ocho Rios,
But the marriage suffered as the couple, who started dating in 2004, spent long periods apart because of work.
Miss Markle was already starring in Suits and commuting from home in Los Angles to film the series in Toronto.
Friends said the strain led to their separation and no-fault divorce in 2013. Miss Markle then moved to Canada.
Mr Engelson has never spoken about the marriage but still works in films and is best known for producing 2010 romance Remember Me.
