IF YOU’RE trying to curb your appetite, replace one of your normal exercise sessions with a skipping rope workout.

In a 2013 study in the journal Appetite, this playground throwback was found to quash hunger for two hours, especially for fatty foods. It suppressed appetite more effectivel­y than cycling, which researcher­s surmise may be something to do with the way the up and down motion of skipping unsettles the digestive tract.
