Barratt’s £1.4m payout
BARRATT Developments’s boss has been awarded shares in the company worth around £1.4m.
Chief executive David Thomas will be handed 226,307 shares in July 2020 if certain targets are hit over the next three years.
The 54-year-old, who was Barratt finance director for nearly six years before becoming chief executive in July 2015, was paid £3.3m last year. he owns nearly 1.5m shares in the company, worth around £8m.
Before joining Barratt, where profits have been boosted by help to Buy, Thomas was finance director and deputy chief executive of Game. he has also held senior roles at Millennium & Copthorne hotels and house of Fraser.
