TalkSPORT meltdown

TROUBLED radio station talkSPORT were in turmoil even before well-known presenter Mike Parry made astonishing allegations on social media about his colleague Jim White.

Internal problems are demonstrated by four key members of staff — Robyn Schonhofer, Kay Townsend, Sandy Warr and Ian Cruise — jumping ship in quick succession.

In addition, talkSPORT now have to cope with Parry, part of cult show The Two Mikes with Mike Graham, tweeting late at night: ‘Thing is Jim@ JimWhite with your chronic historic drink problems . . . and you’ve asked me to help you and I’ve told you I will . . . should you be slagging off anybody else. Everton . . . heh.’

Parry apologised the following morning, and wrote on Twitter: ‘I want to apologise to Jim White for referring dismissively to an illness he has suffered . . . and battled bravely and beaten. Sorry Jim. Very wrong of me.’
