No Brexit, no control

THE 100,000 fall in net migration from its 2015 peak is good news. But let’s put it into context.

Two years ago the annual total was 330,000 – equivalent to creating a city the size of Nottingham. Now it’s 230,000 – equivalent to a town the size of Reading.

Significan­tly, figures have shown that despite Remainers’ scaremonge­ring, record numbers of foreign students are still coming in and there’s been a massive rise in the total of EU nationals working here.

Of course this is not just about numbers. Britain has always been welcoming towards immigrants and will continue to be. No, it’s about having the right to decide who can live in our country and who can’t. That will only be possible when we leave the EU.
