Thames Water’s errors
REGULATORS have accused Thames Water of making serious errors in its published figures.
Industry watchdog Ofwat said customers might not be able to take the firm’s figures on finances and performance at face value. It has relegated the firm to its lowest possible category on information quality and told it to improve.
Ofwat said it also had concerns about the firm’s reporting of outcomes such as leaks and flooding.
It said: ‘The company did not instil sufficient confidence about its ability to deliver, monitor and report performance.’
