HUGHTON BACKS ROONEY RULE IN THE TOP FLIGHT

BRIGHTON boss Chris Hughton, the only black manager in the top flight, wants to bring the NFL’s Rooney Rule to England. The rule says at least one ethnic minority candidate must be interviewed for each senior coaching position. Hughton said: ‘I do agree with a type of rule or legislation which gives opportunities for an interview process.’
