Kim’s brother had antidote to killer poison
KIM Jong-un’s half-brother was carrying a dozen vials of the antidote to nerve agent VX when he was assassinated with the poison earlier this year.
During the trial of two women accused of Kim Jong-nam’s murder, toxicologist Dr Sharmilah told the Malaysian court she had identified the antidote – atropine. Indonesian Siti Aisyah, 25, and Vietnamese Doan Thi Huong, 29, are charged with conspiring with four North Korean fugitives over the murder.
Siti Aisyah’s lawyer said the ‘motive and reason [why Kim Jong-nam had atropine] was never established’. The 45year-old died shortly after the nerve agent was wiped on his face on February 13 at Kuala Lumpur airport. The two women deny murder. The trial will resume in January.
