EMBATTLED builder Carillion has appointed Justin Read as a non-executive director.
He will take the place of Andrew Dougal, who is retiring, on the audit committee.
Carillion, a major Government contractor whose projects include work on the HS2 rail link as well as Battersea Power Station, has issued three profit warnings since July – sending its shares tumbling more than 90pc in the past 12 months.
Yesterday the shares fell 1.5pc, or 0.25p, to 16.5p.
