And now Strictly’s Mollie King has added more fuel to the fire after a rather passionate rumba that ended in a lingering clinch.
The pop star, 30, has been growing closer to dance partner AJ Pritchard, 23, even presenting him with a personalised scrapbook of their time together.
Presenter Tess Daly couldn’t resist teasing the pair about their steamy performance, asking ‘did you actually kiss her on the lips?’
Performing as Danny and Sandy to the song Hopelessly Devoted To You from hit musical Grease, the finale of the dance saw professional AJ swoop the singer into a deep backbend as they appeared to share a tender kiss. The Saturdays star clung onto her partner’s neck as she held him close.
Judge Bruno Tonioli said he could ‘feel fireworks’ during the intimate routine, which ended with the couple blushing before the panel.
Having previously commented on their ‘ unbelievable chemistry’, head judge Shirley Ballas said: ‘You really embraced Sandy and Danny. I believed your love story.’
Despite insisting they are not a couple, Miss King and Pritchard, who are both single, have been at the centre of romance speculation since they were partnered on the show.
Their raunchy moves put them in third place on the leaderboard, with EastEnders star Davood Ghadami voted off on Saturday night after an ‘ unsteady’ Argentine tango.
