COVENTRY TAKE IT EASY

- TIM NASH

Mark Robins hailed Coventry City’s finishing after they reached the Fa Cup third round for the first time since 2014. The league Two Sky Blues — who famously won the Cup in 1987 — ruthlessly exposed the 26-place gap between the teams. Coventry took a 27th-minute lead through Duckens nazon, who teed up Marc Mcnulty to lob the second in the 40th minute before Jordan Shipley sealed it shortly after the break. Sky Blues boss robins, a Cup winner with Manchester united in 1990, said: ‘our first meaningful attack ended up in a goal after some really good movement, good play and good passing. ‘Then nerves settled well and truly after Mcnulty’s outstanding goal. ‘There’s a lot of pressure on these games because of the banana-skin element and you can see teams are having a real go.’ Boreham Wood boss luke garrard said: ‘We created history at the club. it put a marker down.’
