1 in 3 paying for Xmas on credit

-

MORE than a third of us are putting Christmas on credit.

Some 37 per cent of Britons admit deferring paying for gifts, up on 33 per cent last year, the Money Advice Trust claimed.

The charity’s survey of more than 2,000 people found one in seven people have daily money concerns up to December 25.

Joanna Elson, from the trust, said: ‘Money worries can affect people at any time of year, but with the pressure to spend even greater at Christmas, this can cause more stress.’
