DON’T BLINK NOW, KLOPP TELLS LIVERPOOL

- By DOMINIC KING

JURGEN KLOPP has branded Liverpool’s showdown with Spartak Moscow ‘all or nothing’ and challenged his players to carry the club on to the stage they crave. The last time Liverpool reached the Champions League knockout phase was in 2009. Should they fluff their lines this evening, Liverpool could drop into the Europa League and a clear sign of what is at stake was measured by the fact Liverpool’s manager broke away from his usual stance and built up the occasion. ‘It is all or nothing,’ said Klopp, whose team must avoid defeat to progress. ‘We know about the situation. It is always important but the last game of the group stage is most important if you have to play for something, which we obviously have. Exciting! ‘You only play the group stage as Liverpool to come through to the last 16. It is a tight group. There is pressure. We cannot ignore it, we are going for something big.’ Klopp, who has been boosted by the return to fitness of central defenders Joe Gomez and Ragnar Klavan, is set to unleash Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho
