Cheat claim shocks Paralympia­n Hahn

SOPHIE HAHN has told a select committee she was ‘very shocked and upset’ when a British team-mate’s father named her at a hearing about claims of cheating in Paralympic sport. Lawyer Michael Breen, father of T38 long jump world champion Olivia Breen, made a series of allegation­s in October about athletes abusing the classifica­tion system — and named sprinter Hahn. The Paralympic champion, 20, wrote to the DMCS committee, saying: ‘I am the world no 1 because of my work ethic, dedication and, I have been told, my natural talent and focus. I am not the world no 1 because I am a cheat or because I am in the

wrong classifica­tion.

ENGLAND and Leicester prop Ellis Genge, 22, requires shoulder surgery and will be out for two months, making him a doubt for the start of the Six Nations. The news came 24 hours after Saracens revealed Maro Itoje is out for two months with a broken jaw.
