Ronaldo record as Real grab win

-

CRISTIANO RONALDO became the first player to score in all six Champions League group games as holders Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund 3-2 last night. The Portuguese’s strike was a majestic right-foot effort from outside the area and he is now the top scorer in the competition with nine goals. Borja Mayoral hit Real’s opener but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s brace pegged back Real, before Lucas Vasquez’s 81st-minute winner. Real finish second to Tottenham in Group H. Elsewhere, there was late drama as Group G winners Besiktas beat RB Leipzig 2-1. A penalty from former Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo put the Turkish champions ahead, but Naby Keita, who will join Liverpool in the summer, levelled for Leipzig in the 87th minute. Anderson Talisca hit the winner three minutes later.
