Donald’s slurred speech? It’s just a dry throat says his aide

- Mail Foreign Service

DONALD Trump will have a health check and let doctors release the results in the New Year following concerns over slurred words in a speech.

The US President, 71, appeared to struggle at the White House on Wednesday as he delivered his controversial speech on Jerusalem.

Many took to Twitter to suggest a variety of diagnoses from dementia to a mini- stroke. It is not the first time Mr Trump’s health has been questioned, with comments about his weight, mental health and whether he wears dentures. But White House officials said the president was simply suffering from a dry throat.

Press secretary Sarah Sanders said: ‘There were a lot of questions on that. Frankly pretty ridiculous questions. The president’s throat was dry, nothing more than that.

‘He does have a physical scheduled for the first part of next year, the full physical that most presidents go through, and those records will be released by the doctor following that taking place.’
