No one notices Queen Claire on the Tube!

SHE may play the Queen in the acclaimed Netflix drama The Crown, but Claire Foy says no one recognises her in public. Like millions of Londoners, the actress (left) catches the Tube, where, apparently, ‘not a single person’ notices her.

‘I don’t think anyone expects to see the Queen of England in their day-to-day life,’ says Foy, 33. ‘No one’s got the time to look up and look at anyone in the face and realise they’re sitting next to somebody.

‘I wish when getting on flights, people would be like: “Hello, shouldn’t we upgrade her to first class?” ’
