Harry’s f lexible fiancee!

- By Rebecca English Royal Correspondent

WHETHER standing firm in a powerful warrior posture or stretching deeply into a mermaid pose, Meghan Markle is a yogi of the highest order, as these photos clearly show.

It is perhaps not surprising considering Prince Harry’s American fiancee has been practising yoga since she was a girl, thanks to the fact that her mother Doria Ragland teaches the discipline in their home city of Los Angeles. ‘That practice is in my blood,’ said Miss Markle, 36, who will marry Harry at Windsor Castle in May.

She told the Canadian magazine Women’s Health in 2015: ‘ There are so many benefits – increased flexibility and muscle strength, greater happiness, increased mental focus, a greater ability to relax, decreased anxiety and better sleep.’

She devotes a couple of hours a week to her practice, and veteran yoga teacher Ellen Lee says her ‘strength and flexibility… [are] lovely to see’.

With ‘couples yoga’ – where partners practise together – increasingly trendy, it will be interesting to see whether Meghan gets Harry on to the mat!
