No return for jihadis

LADY Chakrabarti is ‘ appalled’ by Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson’s comments in this newspaper last week that British-born jihadis who fought for Islamic State should be ‘ eliminated’ in Syria and Iraq, rather than being allowed to return home. Labour’s legal spokesman claims they must be brought back and put before the courts.

But these men are terrorists. By taking up arms against their country, haven’t they forfeited their rights as British citizens?

To protect the public, they must be stopped at all costs. As Mr Williamson so aptly put it: ‘Dead terrorists can’t harm us.’
